Comma: The Reusable Tampon Applicator
Comma Reuse is a solution to minimize single-use feminine hygiene waste. In 2009, The Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup Project collected 20,000 tampon applicators.
With the intention of keeping the learning curve low, Comma Reuse allows people with periods to limit the waste associated with their menstrual cycle. Comma Reuse is a reusable tampon applicator that diminishes the need for single-use, non- recyclable plastic applicators. Made out of medical-grade silicone, Comma Reuse can be used for up to 10 years.
A person could prevent roughly 240 tampon applicators a year from negatively impacting the environment by using Comma Reuse.
