Repot: A biodegradable planter made by slip-casting hemp and algae biopolymer.
Repot was inspired by the regenerative nature of hemps roots. Repot is a series of planters; from two inch seed starter pots to four inch pots that are made from the CBD industries stalk and spent flower waste. The material is 100% natural and completely biodegradable, each pot can be planted into the next.
While maturing, the cannabis plant has to go through a series of planters (4-6 different sizes). To limit waste, having a biodegradable pot seemed essential to the process. An average acre of hemp can produce 650 pounds of hemp pulp, conservatively yielding 55,000 two inch planters.
